Day After Sessions

A wedding is an occasion filled with the promise of possibility and the joy of celebrating the unique love story between two individuals. But it's also a day overflowing with expectations and itineraries ... and rarely enough time. The day goes so quickly, and as much planning goes into it, unexpected events can happen to shorten the time for portraits. It’s a day when friends and family come from all over to celebrate, so if you’re wanting photographs or video with just you and your spouse, consider a Day After session.

On your wedding day you have almost no time alone as a couple, but our Day After session is focused solely on the two of you. Not having the stress and emotional pulls of a wedding day also gives you much more flexibility in the types of images and films we can create.

Day After sessions are popular for many reasons. Maybe it rained on your wedding day or your photography package simply did not include enough time to travel to a specific location that you wanted. Maybe you wanted to drive a little further to a waterfall, ocean, mountains, or special location and it won’t fit into your wedding day. In some unfortunate cases, maybe you received your wedding photos and you don’t love them.

Maybe you are celebrating an anniversary or renewing your vows. Use that beautiful dress again and capture moments perfect for wall portraits and/or a video to share with generations to come. You may also choose a day after session if you’ve selected a destination wedding and would like to take advantage of Alaskan scenery. This is popular among destination weddings, and for good reason.

Let us remove the stress of keeping up with a stringent schedule on the day of your wedding. During our many years experience with wedding photography and videography, we’ve seen our share of rushed post ceremony portrait sessions. While you’ll want to do your best to capture those family portraits within the window of time your planner has identified, you’ll also want more time with just you and husband / wife, just the two of you, in love.
